Suzuki Reveals Their First Fully Electric Vehicle

Suzuki debuted its first entirely electric vehicle, the eVX, earlier this month, on January 11, 2023. The unveiling happened in at the Auto Expo in Greater Noida, India. Putting other ev manufacturers under intense competition. According to Toshihiro Suzuki, president of Suzuki, his company has recently learned a lot about electric vehicles from its partner, Toyota. It is anticipated to be available for purchase in 2025… What additional information do we have?

Technical DetailsĀ

Suzuki hasn’t provided many additional details about the eVX’s production version up to this point, but some things can be inferred. Their first electric vehicle is coming in at 4.3 metres in length, 1.8 metres in width and standing at 1.6 metres tall. Its large 550km (342-mile) range is made possible by a 60kWh battery pack. According to reports, the electric vehicle’s battery combines the robust 4×4 DNA of Suzuki with cutting-edge characteristics seen in the newest BEVs. It also aspires to give a genuine Suzuki SUV driving experience by extending the brand’s 4×4 tradition into the new electrified era.

What Does This Mean For The Electric Vehicle Market?

Currently, less than 1% of all cars sold in India are electric automobiles. Suzuki’s debut of its first all-electric vehicle in India will support the usage of more environmentally friendly transportation. By doing so, more individuals will be persuaded to buy an EV, hence reducing emissions and oil usage. Manufacturers who transition to electric vehicles will benefit from the impending ban on diesel vehicles in 2030 – Suzuki is clearly doing their part to help the environment. Additionally, as was already indicated, it will greatly increase competitiveness in the sector.

What Else Can We Expect From Suzuki This Year?

Due to increased demand, Suzuki has announced the release of more sport bikes, as well as a new fully electric vehicle. They’ve also revealed the long-rumoured five-door variant of their smallest SUV, which will go on sale this year in Africa, Australia, India, and Latin America. This year, they’re going all out for us!
