With more being sold throughout the UK, electric vehicles (EVs) have been getting attention, not just commercially, but critically also. No matter the charging method, such as portable EV charging or public points, EVs over the years have been receiving awards for their practicality, zero emissions and overall performance.
For the last four years, EVs have maintained their position as finalists or winners for the biggest Car of the Year awards; either in the UK or European. And 2022 is no exception.

Tom Ford, a journalist for Top Gear magazine and presented the American version, said that “Hyundai has built one of 2021’s exceptional cars” and people will be more inclined to buy an electric vehicle with this design.
Hyundai is surely paving the way for other electric vehicles, showing what they can achieve going into the future. Ashley Andrew, Hyundai UK’s managing director, stated that the car has really showcased a premium full EV experience that appeals to almost every type of new car buyer. No matter your preference for an electric vehicle, you need to consider what charging method works best for you. A public charging station can cause massive queues and waiting times, whilst a home charging point can affect the local grid. From this, alternatives should be considered.
Portable EV Charging
Here at Elite, we concentrate on ensuring EV drivers have access to chargers no matter where their journey may take them. When planning your route, you shouldn’t have to worry about the availability of chargers on the way. Destination charging allows a driver to set up a charging point themselves, without the need for installation into the grid. These are great for journeys that include off-grid locations. Want to take a trip through the Yorkshire Dales but are worried about not making it? Get rid of any range anxiety you might have by renting having a portable EV charging point to stay connected throughout any trip.
Elite EV Charge also works with numerous providers to enable events, such as music festivals and sporting events, to go ahead without EV drivers worrying about their vehicle. Day events such as St. Leger Day could benefit from the installation of temporary chargers. Transport is always a tricky obstacle for some drivers, especially many EV owners. Having a charging point, whilst losing all their money, will be an added incentive to attend and makes them feel included.
